Information from third parties

  • Our donation processor (NationBuilder) shares contribution details with us so we can comply with reporting requirements.
  • Social media platforms may share information when you interact with our profiles or posts, subject to their own privacy policies.

Public disclosure of contributor information

California law requires political campaigns to publicly report the name, address, employer, occupation, and amount of any contribution over $100 to the California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) and to make this information part of the public record. Once your information has been reported as required by law, we cannot remove it from public records.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:

  • Service providers who help us operate the campaign, such as our donation processor, email and text messaging providers, website hosting, and analytics tools.
  • Government agencies such as the FPPC and the City of Capitola, as required by campaign finance and election law.
